These terms apply to your use of pouchrats.com, The Rat Report newsletter, the merch shop and the Rats creator program (together, the “Services”), run by Pouch Rats LLC (“Pouch Rats,” “we,” “us”). By using the Services, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Services.
Age requirements
- You must be at least 13 to use the Services.
- Nicotine reviews, picks and the nicotine section are for adults 21+ only. By confirming your age, you’re telling us the truth.
- To buy merch, you must be 18 or older, or have a parent or guardian’s permission.
- The Rats creator program is for adults 21+ only.
What Pouch Rats is (and isn’t)
- We’re media, not a store for pouches. We don’t sell, ship or distribute nicotine or non-nicotine pouches. When you buy a product we cover, you buy it from a third-party retailer, under that retailer’s terms.
- Reviews and picks are our honest opinions. Taste, strength and effect are personal, and your experience may be different.
- Nothing here is medical advice. Our content is for information and entertainment. Talk to a doctor before using nicotine or products with caffeine, nootropics or other active ingredients, especially if you’re pregnant, nursing, have a health condition or take medication. WARNING: Nicotine products contain nicotine. Nicotine is an addictive chemical.
- Prices, deals and availability come from brands and retailers. They can change without notice. Confirm the details on the retailer’s site before buying.

Your account and submissions
If you create an account, keep your login private. You’re responsible for what happens under it.
When you send us something (a tip, a message, a Join the Rats application, a launch submission or a Hot take vote), you confirm it’s yours to share and isn’t unlawful or misleading. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, edit and publish it in connection with Pouch Rats. For example, we might quote a tip in a news story or a Rat Report issue. We’ll never publish your contact details. We’re not obligated to use or respond to every submission.
Brand and launch submissions don’t buy coverage, reviews or picks. Paid placements are always labeled.
Rules for using the Services
Don’t:
- Lie about your age to get into 21+ content or programs.
- Break the law, or help anyone sell nicotine to minors.
- Spam our forms, rig Hot take votes, or fake clicks on creator or affiliate links.
- Scrape, copy or republish our content in bulk, or use it to train AI models, without written permission.
- Try to hack, overload or interfere with the site.
- Pretend to be Pouch Rats or a member of the Rats.
We can limit or end your access if you break these rules.
Our content
The Pouch Rats name, logo, rat marks, site design, writing, photos and graphics belong to Pouch Rats LLC or its licensors. You’re welcome to share links and quote short bits with credit and a link back. Anything more needs our written permission. Brand names and product images belong to their owners and appear only to identify the products we cover.
Merch orders
- Made to order. Merch is printed on demand by our fulfillment partner after you order.
- Prices and errors. Prices are in US dollars and don’t include tax or shipping, which are shown at checkout. If an item is listed at the wrong price, or we can’t fill an order, we may cancel it and refund you in full.
- Colors. Colors and print placement can vary slightly from the photos.
- Shipping. We currently ship to US addresses only. Delivery estimates aren’t guarantees. Title and risk of loss pass to you when the order is handed to the carrier, but we’ll still help if a package is lost; see our returns policy.
- Returns and refunds are covered by our Returns and refunds policy.
The Rats creator program
Getting accepted into the Rats is up to us. Creator content must cover non-nicotine pouches only and must clearly disclose any paid relationship or affiliate link, as the FTC requires (for example, #ad). Specific deals, rates and payouts are set out in a separate written agreement, and that agreement controls if it conflicts with these terms. We can end a creator’s participation at any time, and we may reverse credit for clicks or sales that look fraudulent.
Third-party sites
We link to brands, retailers, newsletters and social platforms we don’t control. We’re not responsible for their content, products, privacy practices or terms. Your dealings with them are between you and them.
Disclaimers
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We work to keep things accurate and up to date, but we don’t guarantee that every review, price, launch date or news item is complete, current or error-free, or that the site will always be available.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Pouch Rats will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Services or any product you buy from a third party. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $100. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
Indemnity
If your breach of these terms, or content you submit, leads to a claim against Pouch Rats, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it, including legal fees.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in New York, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction. Before filing anything, please email us so we can try to sort it out informally.
Changes and other terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top, and continuing to use the Services means you accept the new version. If any part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a term right away, we haven’t given it up. These terms, together with the policies linked above, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Services.
